PROCEDURE

We recommend this treatment to patients who feel uncomfortable with prominent or protruding ears. Ear position can be corrected on children reaching age 6. The plastic procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, and takes approximately one hour. The cut is located on the back side of the ear, so final scar is not visible.

Post Procedure Care

After this cosmetic surgery, the ears are covered by a bandage strapped around the head. The bandage is kept on for 10 days. After the surgery, the patient may go home, even driving is allowed. Pain may persist for 2 days, and it is possible to use analgesics during that period. We recommend to relax for the period of one week. Office work can be started after two days from the surgery. You can enjoy sport activities in 3 weeks time after ear surgery but you have to be very careful and we recommend wearing a sports headband.
