we’re very happy to inform you that our borders are open again for medical tourists.
As of 29th August 2020, British tourists returning to the UK must, on instructions of the UK Government, self-isolate for 14 days. This neatly coincides with our advice to recover at home for two weeks after treatment at our clinics.
The Czech Government remains in full control of the Covid-19 situation in our country.
Rest assured we’re here to answer any questions and concerns about how the current travel restrictions may affect you. So please feel free to contact us and we’ll be very pleased to help you.
What is plastic surgery? In simple terms, it is a medical speciality aimed at restoring, reconstructing, or otherwise modifying the body to achieve a desired result. Plastic surgery includes both reconstructive surgery and cosmetic or aesthetic surgery.
The chief aim of reconstructive surgery is the restoration of function and/or form. It involves the correction of some bodily defect, which may be congenital, developmental, or the result of trauma, burn, infection, or disease. Reconstructive surgery is generally regarded as medically necessary.
Though it shares some common ground with reconstructive surgery, the principal goal of cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is, as the name suggests, to beautify or improve appearance. It is less concerned with function and is usually considered elective.
With either type of plastic surgery, a successful outcome depends largely upon the knowledge, skill, and experience of the surgeon. We, at Medical Travel, can connect you with some of the best plastic surgeons in the Czech Republic. These individuals are highly accomplished and respected in their fields—and with good reason. On their hands you can rely.
We encourage you to read through the profiles of our plastic surgery associates and to look over our range of treatment options to see how we can best help you. We have also provided all-important before and after plastic surgery pictures under each procedure description. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. We believe this holds especially true when it comes to clearly conveying what results you may expect from your surgery.
The “tummy tuck,” or abdominoplasty, involves the removal of excess skin and fat, as well as a tightening of the musculature of the abdominal wall. Medical Travel offers both standard and mini abdominoplasty options, alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures, including liposuction and tummy tuck or breast augmentation and tummy tuck.
Liposuction, or “lipo,” entails the removal of localised fat from the body. This method of body contouring or body sculpting is less invasive than abdominoplasty and best suited to those whose skin and muscle tone are already in good condition. Medical Travel offers a number of different lipo procedures from some of the best liposuction surgeons in the Czech Republic. These include Body Jet, BodyTite, SlimLipo and Slim Sculpt, Tumescent, and Vaser.
Medical Travel offers a number of breast enhancement options, including enlargement by implants or fat transfer, breast reduction, reshaping, and breast lift (mastopexy)—the last for both men and women. A breast enlargement procedure may also be combined with a breast lift, tummy tuck, or liposuction procedure to achieve the overall result desired by the patient.
The facelift, or rhytidectomy, is an aesthetic surgery procedure aimed at producing a more youthful appearance in the face and neck, by reducing sagging skin and wrinkles. This is typically accomplished through the removal of excess skin and, sometimes, the tightening of subcutaneous tissues. Techniques vary. Medical Travel offers a number of facelift options, as well as supplementary lip enhancement treatment, including: SMAS, MACS, Silhouette Lift and neck lift.
The nose job, or rhinoplasty, is a procedure designed to reconstruct the form, restore the function, or improve the aesthetic appeal of what the patient perceives to be a “big” or “ugly” nose. Breathing may be improved as a result of this procedure as well as facial symmetry. Since all incisions are made through and inside the nostrils—a “closed” rhinoplasty—scarring is invisible.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is aimed at the correction of defects of the upper and lower eyelids and the aesthetic improvement of these. Both a more visually appealing visage and remedy of vision impairment caused by sagging skin may be achieved through this procedure.
In this procedure, surplus fat is removed from one area of the body and reinjected to increase volume and thus improve appearance in another. It offers lasting, natural looking, and scar-free results and serves as an alternative to implantation techniques. Medical Travel offers both fat transfer for buttock and breast augmentation—in concert with stem cell therapy and liposuction, should the patient desire.
In addition to the foregoing procedures, Medical Travel offers a number of other treatment options to round out the plastic surgery range: arm lift (brachioplasty), brow/forehead lift (browplasty), labiaplasty, otoplasty, and thigh lift (thighplasty).
The VenaSeal ™ closure system is an innovative and minimally invasive technique that makes use of a proprietary cyanoacrylate polymer, or “superglue,” to effectively seal off varicose veins, allowing the body to reroute blood flow to healthy veins and to dissolve the diseased ones. Recovery time is minimal.
